What is the Doritos of Club Penguin?
The Doritos of Club Penguin is an online group on Discord affiliated with Club Penguin Armies. We were created in 2010 by CPA Legend and Creator, Wwebestfan. We operate on the game Club Penguin and do army related things.

Players appear themselves as penguins and they can dress them up by getting virtual coins by playing games, mine for coins, etc. Club Penguin shut down in 2017 by Disney but we have Club Penguin Private Servers (CPPS) to play the game and relive our childhood memories. What do we do here?
We’re a Club Penguin army. We participate in hosting events and enabling you to make friends. As an army/group, we host battles, tournaments and other fun games for everyone to enjoy. What are events?
The purpose of our Discord server is to host fun events and meetups on Club Penguin. An event is something that is planned and scheduled in advance. We ask everyone to RVSP/confirm their attendance for our events to ensure they are available to log onto Club Penguin that day and play with other people. Check our #event-information channel to keep up to date with events. We ping for everyone to confirm their attendance as a reminder.

How long are events?
Events usually last 15-30 minutes. They may linger a bit longer depending on what type of event we do. We also do try our best to host events most convenient for all time zones.

How do you enter giveaways/get Nitro?
The only way you can enter for giveaways is that you attend our scheduled events. After the event, we’ll set up a giveaway bot in our announcements channel and you can react for a chance to win a giveaway. In some scenarios, we may need to reroll the giveaway in case the person is unable to accept the giveaway or they already have it.

What is the mentor program?
The Mentor Program is a program to help members learn more about our army or Club Penguin armies in general. We got some great mentors here who are more than happy to help you. They are there to answer any questions you may have, work through any issues/problems you have, or just have someone you can look up to and to build a friendship with. What are divisions?
Divisions are teams here in the Doritos. From time to time, we’ll host a division battle which means, instead of DCP battling another army, it’d be DCP battling each other. We put up the Nacho Cheese and the Cool Ranch teams up so you can represent one side! We host these battles just for fun and to see which division is more superior!

How do you get the uniform?
The main CPPS we use, CPR, requires you to get coins to buy the uniform. The uniform is subjected to change due to CPR’s catalog constantly changing every month. How do you log on Club Penguin?
We guide you to go to the Club Penguin link to log onto https://play.cprewritten.net/ Click start and log in. Then type in your username and password. After that, you’ll get a list of servers to choose from (e.g Crystal, Ascent etc.) To get more servers, click on the yellow sticky note on the right and it’ll give you more servers to choose from. Whenever we have an event, be sure to check #event-information to check what server our event will be held on. If you’re unsure, DM a staff member and we’ll be glad to help you.

Do you guys only do Club Penguin related things?
Nope! During our break days from Club Penguin, we will host game nights for other games such as Roblox, Among Us, Minecraft or whatever we feel like playing. Be sure to get the @Fun Activities role to be pinged for game nights.

How do promotions/ranks work?
You may see people on the Discord server labeled as a “Main Leader, Third in Command, Major General, Doritos Private, etc.” Since we’re an army, we label ourselves and roles on our discord server like real armies do. In order to rank up to become staff and maybe even potentially become a leader, you need to attend events, be active in chat and help contribute to the army. Your hard work will pay off and won’t go unnoticed. After an event, we post a promotions blog post on our website for everyone to comment on. Then you’ll receive your promotion shortly after.

How can I tell what rank/region I am?
Depending on what platform you’re on (e.g PC, Phone, etc.) You can check what roles and ranks you have by simply clicking on your avatar/profile picture. You’ll be shown a list of roles you have. If you’d like to give yourself some roles, check out our #roles channel.

How do I get a custom role?
You will come across server members with fun/different color names from the rest. That’s because they have boosted the server. You can boost the server by buying Nitro boosts and boost your favorite server to give it special perks. If you have boosted the DCP server, you can DM an HCOM and up for a custom role. You can select what color you want (we recommend sending a hex code to make it easier) and the name for your role. If you stop boosting/your boost runs out, your custom role will be taken away until you boost again. You can also purchase a custom role perk from our #chips-shop if you gain enough chips.

Battles are a organized fight between armies. A certain server and room on Club Penguin are selected. Battles are consisted of fighting with emotes and tactics. Armies battle in 3 rooms, each room going on for 10 minutes each. The way the battle is judged by voluntary judges (or no judges at all and just a free-for-all battle). They judge how armies battle based on consistency, variety, and effectiveness. If you’re a member participating in a battle, you must listen to the commands given by the leaders/people talking in the Discord chat. People talking in chat will give a command to do a tactic on Discord and as a member, it is your job to do it on the game to keep up effectiveness and have a good performance incase if it’s a battle where judges are observing your moves. (e.g you may be asked to do E2 on 3, that means you look at your Club Penguin screen and press the E + 2 shortcut on your keyboard when the person counts to 3 in order for the emote to appear in-game.) Why is my game lagging and I can’t load into the game?
Especially during battle events, you’ll notice tons of people logged onto the same server and it may create lag for you. We recommend you guys to either switch browsers or turn off names to hopefully make it run smoother for you. If you’re unable to get into the room we request you to go to, we’ll announce a lockout room for you to go to.
